In the basic settings you define the basic information for your draft dispatch and thus start the creation of a new dispatch.
Internal name of the draft, which cannot be seen by the recipients. A name that is as precise as possible is recommended, which provides information on the topic, time and other key data of the newsletter. Example: "Sports News - February 2021"
In addition, there is a separate number for each newsletter, this is unique for each account and cannot be adjusted by yourself.
E-mail address of the draftsman including date and time
keywords : Link keywords can be assigned to the draft; these can be used, for example, to categorize newsletters and summarize reporting figures. If several dispatch keywords are required, they are separated by "#".
Select whether the newsletter should be listed first in the email archive after it has been sent.
Archive URL (after sending):
A static URL that can be used to make the newsletter available on your own website, for example. The online version of the newsletter is used here.
Title of the newsletter, which is displayed to the customer in the mailbox. This should create interest and make it clear which topic the recipient expects in the newsletter.
Insert emoji / symbol: (can also be used for the preview
text ) Here you can choose between the text-2-emoji generator and the emoji and symbol database. The Text-2-Emoji-Generator enables the conversion of text into emojis / symbols, which represent the content graphically. The emoji and symbol database contains emojis and symbols for integration into the content.
Here you can insert the contents of the contact fields created in the account, sending properties of historical newsletters, properties of the account concerned, time functions and dynamic texts created in the account.
length : A function which evaluates the character and word selection and provides a recommendation for the length of the subject line. If the box is green, it can be assumed that the subject line will be displayed in full to most recipients. If the box is yellow, the subject line is not completely displayed for some recipients. If the box is red, it must be expected that many recipients will only see part of the subject line. However, these are information for orientation purposes. The decisive points here are the end device and the e-mail program (client) used.
In addition to the subject line, there is also a preview text that is displayed to the recipients. This is also an important criterion and can decide whether a newsletter is opened or not. Create interest with an activating preview text.
Important: This is not a mandatory field, but you always wanted to use the preview text.
If this is not the case, the first text content of the newsletter is used automatically. However, this is often the link to the online version of the newsletter, so this should always be avoided. Unfortunately, this also happens if the preview text is too short.
Alias that is displayed instead of the sender name. The name of the company, organization, etc. is recommended here. This increases the recipient's confidence in the sender and underpins the seriousness of the newsletter.
Define the local-part (name before the @) of your sender e-mail. We recommend terms such as: info, service, news, or newsletter. Information after the "@" can also be adapted using a separate and individual subdomain. If an e-mail is sent to your sender e-mail, it ends up in the inbox of the Maileon account.
Instead of the recipient address, you can also set a recipient alias. An example here is the use of the alias “VIP customer”.
Tracking : The
standard method is to use the tracking method “uses the most detailed tracking available for the permission per contact ” . So will ensure that as many reporting data are determined, yet no data protection issues arising from infringements. The following options can optionally be selected: no tracking, anonymous tracking or tracking on a per-user basis . The tracking on individual user level overrides the individual contact Permission method and permission extension for this individual shipment. Depending on the functionality of your account, you can choose from different analytics systems. By using the functions, tracking codes are automatically placed behind each link in the newsletter.

Google Analytics and Magento Analytics have already defined parameters for which you can now set the desired values .
When using the user-defined link parameters, you determine which parameters are set and also select the desired values. So let not officially support t use e Analytics systems, including required parameters.
Under Settings> Subscriptions> A nalytics & C onversion s You can set general defaults for each define Analytics systems .
Tracked domains: An asterisk is automatically set here, so all links are provided with the selected tracking codes. In most cases this is desirable. However, only certain links can optionally be extended by the codes . This requires the following logic to be specified: * google * (example). This has now means that all links with the content " google " extended 'll n here can now optionally include any subdomains.
Manual reply address:
The “encoded e-mail address (with contact assignment)” is set as standard, but a “user-defined e-mail address ” can also be selected here , this is visually much more appealing , even if without direct contact assignment . However, you should not use the sender email due to the increased risk of delivery problems . We recommend using the following dynamic address: reply @ [[ACCOUNT | MAILING-DOMAIN]] . Under Settings> Inbox you will find further options for individual adjustments.
