General information

In the “Standard Settings” area, standard values can be defined for the creation of mailings. The defined values can optionally be blocked (lock). Changes made only have an effect on newly created (and not copied) mailings.

designation

A standard name for newly created e-mailings can be assigned here. The designation "NL KW" is set as the default value.

Subject line

Standard subject lines for newly created e-mailings can optionally be assigned here. The two buttons on the right also allow symbols or personalization to be inserted.

Trial mail prefix

The prefix entered here is added to the subject line of test mails. This makes it easier to identify a test mail as such immediately and thus to be able to quickly differentiate it from real mailings.

Dispatch language

This setting only affects the spell check when preparing a mailing. "Account language" is set as the standard.

Sender identification

Here you can define all the settings that affect the sender identification for your e-mail. The sender identification can be a decisive factor in terms of opening behavior. Meaningful and serious values should be entered.

Sender alias

This value is displayed in the "From" field in many e-mail clients. You can either select a previously defined value or create a new value. With a click on the pencil symbol you call up the menu "Sender-Alias-Management". There a symbol (menu "Symbol Wizard") or a contact field (menu "Insert a contact field") can be added to the alias using the two icons.

Sender email

The sender e-mail is used in the header of the e-mail. In some e-mail clients it appears together with the sender alias in the "From" field. We recommend avoiding long strings of numbers or characters and ideally creating a reference to the company. A click on the pencil symbol opens the menu "Sender E-Mail Management". Here you can add new sender email addresses, whereby the subdomain cannot be changed.

Recipient alias

This value is the alias visible to the recipient in the client. It should contain information about the contact itself (e.g. the name of the team, position of the employee, etc.). Click on the pencil symbol to open the “Recipient Alias Management” menu. New values can be created here, which, if necessary, can be enhanced with a symbol or a personalization using the two symbols.

Tracking method

Here you can globally set the tracking method to be used for the contacts in this account. The following options are available:

  • Use the most detailed tracking available for the permission per contact
  • do not use tracking
  • use anonymous tracking
  • Use tracking on a per-user basis

Note: meaningful evaluations and a targeted response to recipient behavior are only possible if the contacts have given their consent to individual user tracking. Since only the double opt-in procedure guarantees legal certainty, we urgently recommend that you only send contacts with the permission method “double opt-in including consent to individual user tracking”.

You can lock the defined value by clicking on the lock symbol, ie it cannot be changed while an e-mail is being processed. For the best possible reporting results, we recommend that you always select the option "Use the most detailed tracking available for the permission for each contact"!

Standard distribution list

Here you can define a distribution list that is set by default for new e-mailings.

Standard template

This defines which templates are to be made available as a selection option by default when a new e-mailing is created under “Dispatches - Drafts” (“Create new e-mailing” button). The templates are loaded into the account by your Maileon service partner. However, you can use the checkbox to block one or more of the existing templates for use in e-mailing.
